In a silent shadowy corner of the garden there was green bamboo - the embodiment of zeal for life and the ability to quicken its flow, soaring straight up to the Sun, to splendid blossoming and death. With dignity, like a samurai, staying firm and straight, as if being predetermined to become a spear...
Listening to the rustle of bamboo, watching its quick growth have always magically helped to restore strength and heal wounds.
We use ink and rice paper, but we also can use thicker paper. Non-rice paper may be good for kanji, but it does not always give those nice blurs that look good in bamboo paintings.
We do not make copies of our bamboo and calligraphy paintings, meaning each painting is done only once.
